Bringing Out The Best In Your Team

Being promoted to a managerial or supervisory position requires an identity shift from ‘performer’ to ‘developer of people’ and from ‘peer/friend’ to ‘boss’. Without guidance, new managers often struggle to find their footing.

In this 2-day training, managers deepen their understanding of the role, and what it takes to develop their direct reports, who may be very different personalities from them, into strong performers.

They will understand that different subordinates require different ways of engagement and mentoring. They will be guided to develop their own leadership style, and how to overcome challenges in order to create a wholesome and empowering environment for their team.

Learning Objectives

1. How to recognise their direct reports' strengths and weaknesses, and how to be an effective teacher or guide for them.

2. Understand that different people have different learning styles (Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic) and how to engage each one.

3. Learn to give honest feedback to their direct reports.

4. Define their own leadership style based on their core values.

5. How to apply the learnings to overcome the challenges that they are currently facing.
